About Lifelong Learning Tours - Meg Carson, RN, Ph.D.
Meg is the owner and creator of Lifelong Learning Tours. A full-time Associate Professor in the Nursing Department at Saint Anselm College, Lifelong Learning Tours is an educational tour company that reflects the synergistic relationship between travel and education. “I believe in the power of fusing health/wellness topics with the humanities/fine arts. I knew that if we took the time to look at health concepts in unique ways we would walk away with an enhanced learning experience.”
When working on her first tour, Meg was disappointed in the quality of the services she could find in travel planning. “The agents I spoke to couldn’t answer the detailed questions I had about hotels, locations, and tours. When pressed, they often admitted that they themselves hadn’t been there. They were more interested in fitting me into a tour package than creating an itinerary around my groups travel needs.”
From that point on Meg started using her personal vacations as scouting trips for upcoming learning tours. Now, with 10 years of experience planning and leading these tours, Meg believes that she has created a unique service for the learner/traveler. “People need to return from a travel experience feeling renewed, and enriched."
